Universal Restraint Systems (URS) is an Australian company that was established to address a long-standing issue in the transport and heavy haulage industry: outdated, unreliable and inefficient load restraint equipment. Putting safety and reliability at the center, we set out to engineer a smarter, safer alternative, purpose-built for today’s operators and tomorrow’s standards.

What Universal Restraint Systems Stands For
Every great product starts with a frustration and for us, it was watching equipment being secured with tools that hadn’t evolved in decades. The Bulldog Binder™ was born from a refusal to accept the status quo.
We worked side-by-side with operators, distributors and safety teams to understand the real issues: fatigue, slow tensioning, risk of failure and inconsistent results. What followed was over 3 years of field testing in Australia’s most unforgiving conditions. The outcome? A binder that does the job better, faster and without compromise.
